CARNIVAL MUSEUM
Breathing new life into tradition

A layered, narrative installation that animates historic carnival figures through projection, light, and space.

PROJECT
For the German Carnival Museum in Kitzingen, a 10-minute immersive experience was developed to explore the history and pagan roots of carnival tradition.
Ten traditional figures—dressed in ceremonial costumes—stand within a sculptural installation of suspended gauze strips.
Through projection mapping and multi-layered transparency, the space transforms into a living theater. The figures come to life as light, texture, and sound shift dynamically around them—pulling visitors into a mythic retelling of carnival’s cultural evolution.
