kaleidoskop was founded by Nathalie van Sasse van Ysselt, as an independent gallery/project space, in 2009.
Its intent was to create a space for communication, to break the boundaries between artist and visitor, to create a dynamic environment in the up-and-coming district of Neukölln in Berlin.
Besides running the space, I also curated and designed the various exhibitions, happenings, concerts and performances. kaleidoskop primarily worked with emerging, international artists and also remained dedicated to welcoming non-commercial artistic experimentation and expression.
kaleidoskop hosted events and exhibitions for various art festivals in Berlin:
European Month of Photography
Transmediale
48 Hours Neukölln
Nacht und Nebel
Boddinale Film festival
Gallery Weekend Berlin
Fashion Week Berlin
kaleidoksop has closed its doors to the public in 2015 - with fond memories of the past and fresh eyes for the future!
