kaleidoskop

A living canvas for art, dialogue, and emerging voices

An independent gallery and project space that brought global creativity and local community together in one of Berlin’s most transformative neighborhoods.

Curated exhibitions, performances, and experimental festivals turned an undeveloped corner of Neukölln into a vibrant cultural landmark.

Founded in 2009, kaleidoskop was more than a gallery—it was a space for exchange, experimentation, and artistic risk.

Nestled in the then-rising district of Neukölln, it offered an open platform for emerging international artists, hosting exhibitions, performances, and happenings that welcomed both the art world and the neighborhood.

Beyond curating and designing each show, the space played an active role in Berlin’s cultural calendar, participating in festivals like Transmediale, European Month of Photography, Gallery Weekend, and 48 Hours Neukölln.

kaleidoskop closed its public doors in 2015, but its legacy remains—a reminder that cultural ecosystems often begin with a single space willing to break the rules.
